PARTNERSHIP PAYS OFF FOR MANSFIELD PUB

PARTNERSHIP PAYS OFF FOR MANSFIELD PUB

The long-term relationship between Marston’s and Johnstone’s Trade has helped deliver an eye-catching refurbishment at a pub in Mansfield.

Johnstone’s has had a sole supply agreement with the Wolverhampton-based brewery for the past three years, which has seen its high performance products and services utilised across a wide range of projects.

Johnstone’s provides products, project advice and colour consultation for all refurbishment work carried out on the brewery’s 1700 sites. The latest pub to benefit from this collaborative approach is The Rufford, located on Chesterfield Road in Mansfield, which now boasts a striking interior design.

G Wilton Decorating Contractors were given just three weeks in which to entirely redecorate both the interior and exterior of the pub. Needing a product that could deliver on aesthetic requirements as well as helping to meet the strict deadline, they turned to the newly reformulated Johnstone’s Covaplus Vinyl Matt.

Johnstone’s invested significantly in the product so that it now offers even better coverage and opacity when working on large surface areas subject to critical lighting. It also benefits from an increased open time which is allowing decorators more time to roller over back into a wet edge. This is helping to ensure a better finish and is making it easier to achieve a more even appearance.

Darren Salmon from G Wilton Decorating Contractors said: “We used a significant amount of Johnstone’s new Covaplus Vinyl Matt on this project and we were delighted with the way it performed. We were confident in using a product that would give our client the finish they required. There’s no question we’d be happy using this product again in the future.”
