A UK based independently owned and operated business specialising in the design, manufacture and Installation of folding sliding doors for commercial & domestic properties worldwide since 2001.
Our bi-fold doors are available in Glass (Flush Glazed), Aluminium, Timber, Ali-Clad, PVCu & GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic). All doors are CE compliant and come with long product, manufacturers & glass warranties, with an additional separate insurance backed guarantee for domestic installations (UK only).
Approved Document Q and Secured by Design doors are available.
We also offer site surveys, removal of existing doors, supply only drops & full Installation (all covered by FENSA registration) and maintenance contracts.
In addition, The Folding Sliding Door Company manufactures its own range of Bi-fold door hardware & profile which is available through Fold N Slide Systems Hardware.

Aluminium FD72
A 70mm thermally broken folding sliding door system offers a modern look coupled with strength and durability. Minimum maintenance required to keep it looking great, making this our most popular system.
Aluminium FD45
This system offers slim sight lines and a smaller stacking space, ideal for internal room dividers, commercial properties or where UK building regulations are not required (Oct 2010).
Aluminium & Timber FD73
A 70mm thermally broken aluminium and timber system, offers a strong, durable and maintenance free finish outside while still providing the warmth and character that timber brings inside.
Aluminium & Glass FD75
Flush glazed, frameless glass bifold with aluminium. Ultra modern contemporary appearance. Clean lines and smooth appearance. The ONLY UK designed and manufactured all glass wall folding sliding door available.
Thermally efficient, triple glazed, argon gas filled, bi-fold door incorporating open in or open out, stacking left or stacking right, glazed in or glazed out configurations, with maximum security and integrity.
Engineered Hardwood Timber FD68
For a traditional, natural look you cannot beat the feel and warmth that timber brings! The FD68 system is expertly crafted using engineered hardwood profiles to give extra strength and to reduce expansion and warping.
PVCu FD71
Matching your existing PVCu windows with our PVCu bi-fold door is easy!
This 70mm system is constructed from the finest aluminium reinforced PVCu profile available with attributes for high strength, security and fantastic thermal values.
CD45 GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic)
Designed to simulate tradition timber doors, woodgrain texture complete with deep bottom rails.
Folding Sliding Windows
Basically just a smaller folding sliding door, using all the same components parts and profiles that our doors are manufactured from, all materials available as listed above.
Windows – Timber & Aluminium Casement Windows
Initially known for being specialists within the bi-fold door industry The Folding Sliding Door Company have listened to their customers and now offer casement windows in both 70mm hardwood timber and 70mm aluminium. Again as their doors you can choose your choice of the finish to match your bi-fold doors.

Security
Tested to destruction in UKAS approved testing laboratories.
- Encapsulated running gear within the track, preventing it from being attacked
- Passed tests equivalent to a twenty stone man trying to force entry
- 5 point multi-locking, with ‘Secured by Design’ (SBD) anti-snap cylinders
- Hardened steel hook locks & dead bolts
- Top and bottom shoot bolts, locate directly into both the top & bottom track
- Internally glazed for all systems (option to upgrade to laminated glass)
- High security hinges to prevent the pins from being removed forced from the door
- Tongue & groove (interlocking) door panels to prevent lever opening
- Document Q, Security – Dwellings PAS 24:2012. Selected Q72 configurations
- Secured by Design – Selected Q68 configurations
Weatherproof
Weatherproofing is a main concern when it comes to door design. Our system has been tested at a UKAS accredited testing station and passed the PAS23 weather test to extreme weather conditions.
Thermal Efficiency
All of our systems have been thermally simulated to indicate the true thermal value, helping you choose the right option for your property and helping you save money on your fuel bills.

Configurations
A folding sliding door can accommodate all tastes, applications and building requirements. There are over 100 opening styles, including: inward opening, outward opening, stacking to the left, stacking to the right and stacking both ways. Opening configurations ranging from 2 panels one way to 7 panels both way.

Site survey
The Folding Sliding Door Company will check;
- That it will satisfy all building regulations
- The structural integrity of the opening, whether lintels are adequate etc
- A sound fix can be made
- Chosen cill option(s) are correct etc
- Removal of existing doors
This option is ideal if you are taking our fitting service, you will then have the peace of mind that your property is fully secure all the time.
