Furniture fit-out completes at Manchester recruitment firm

Manchester-based furniture and interiors specialist Penketh Group has completed its transformation of Oliver James Associates’ new base at No. 1 Spinningfields.

The global recruitment agency has taken two floors at the building on Hardman Square, with Penketh Group having supplied a cutting-edge furniture solution for the branch’s 120 members of staff.

The space includes a space-saving bench desk area, a state-of-the-art work café, breakout zones, impressive director offices, several spacious meeting rooms, a boardroom and substantial storage solutions.

Among the products supplied by Penketh Group to optimise the space were FrameOne bench desks from Steelcase, ergonomic chairs for Gesture and steel storage lockers, as well as sofas, bar stools and coffee tables for the breakout areas.

Chris Birchall, workplace designer at Penketh Group, said: “We were delighted to work with the team at Oliver James Associates to help create a workspace that promotes productivity and gives people the space and freedom they need to work effectively. Using our extensive toolkit of designers, brands and products, we were able to develop a solution that perfectly complements the Oliver James brand while bringing a breath of fresh air and we’re thrilled with the end result.”

Penketh Group, which has offices in Manchester and the Wirral, works with clients to create stand-out working environments. Its service portfolio incorporates furniture and interiors, AV and technology, managed print solutions and business supplies

.Shannen Doherty, operations executive at Oliver James Associates, said: “We were extremely impressed with the service provided by Penketh Group. Nothing was too much trouble for Chris and the team, and they delivered a seamless installation from start to finish.

“Our people are enjoying their new workplace, which is a dynamic space full of positive energy, and we are already proudly showing it off.”

As part of the project, Zero Space was appointed to draw up plans, while Denton Associates conducted the fit-out.
