Take a look at a recent project we supplied…

Where:                                Surrey Street, Bristol

Project Type:                     Social Housing Development, 24 apartments

Developer:                         Allen Build

Flooring Contractor:       Knighton Contracts Ltd.

Products used:                  Eminent Twist broadloom carpet, HARO Engineered Timber Oak, CFS Independent range, CFS Lobby entrance matting, CFS Commercial Double Stick Underlay 6.5, door bars, stair nosings, screeds & adhesives

A range of high design and high performance carpet and flooring was recently installed for an Allen Build social housing refurbishment development to 24 apartments in Bristol.

Carpet & Flooring was selected to meet the demands for the contractor by supplying a complete flooring package that would inject a sense of individuality, and style into the apartments.

Knighton Contracts Ltd in Bristol installed the flooring within the apartments to accommodate the bedrooms, living areas, communal corridors and seating areas.

Carpet & Flooring Specification Manager Jamie Driver worked closely with Lee Knighton, Director of Knighton Contracts to assist in finalising the specification. The final flooring installation provided a practical and a stylish finish to complement the modern interiors within the apartments and to accommodate the tenants’ needs.

550m² of Carpet & Flooring Eminent Twist was installed in the bedrooms, which is ideal for homes as it offers durability to withstand day to day use, without compromising on style.
Shades Sovereign Grey, Coronation Cream, Stately Silver were chosen for this project to help radiate an aura of cool tones.

Within the living areas, 750m² of HARO 13.5mm Engineered Oak Sauvage Timber Oak was installed in colour Matt Lacquer. With its effective locking system and 2V bevelled running along the sides, this helped the team to lay the floor down quickly and easily. Designed specifically to reduce the natural swelling and shrinking of wood by up to 70% with its 3-layer construction.  It is a great choice in terms of sustainability, eco-friendliness, and with the superior engineering of the moisture protection, water drops stay on the surface – making it easy to keep clean.

The CFS Independent range was chosen to provide extensive protection against stains for the communal corridors and seating area within the apartment buildings. It was vital for these areas to be resistant to dirt, water and stains to help keep the cost of maintenance down. With Independent I-Protect finish guarantee for extensive protection, these areas will be quick to clean and easy to maintain. Shades Multi-Line 525 and Fine Twist Col- 528 were chosen to offer a warm welcome for visitors.

Carpet & Flooring was able to further assist the project by offering accessories, including; adhesives, gripper, door bars and the new CFS Commercial Double Stick Underlay 6.5. The new CFS underlay is manufactured from a high content of recycled vehicle tyres bound in a latex formulation, which delivers exceptional resilience, and durability –perfect to help complete any carpet installation project.

Lee Knighton commented: “I had excellent support from the Carpet & Flooring Bristol sales team, including deliveries being on time and support throughout with the specification of the project”.
