The flooring industry’s main annual event takes place soon – 16-18 September – in Harrogate.
This is where flooring in all its forms is given the starring role. The show is widely recognised as the UK’s National Flooring Event, and this year marks its 56th edition. The show delivers a great overview of what’s new, who’s new and some great networking opportunities across the industry – from contractors and fitters, to flooring retailers and interior designers.

On Tuesday morning, 18 September, the show will be hosting a special networking event for interior designers to meet the flooring designers from key exhibiting companies. It’s a perfect opportunity to hear what new flooring developments are underway from the teams who are creating them. This event is supported by the SBID, but non-members are welcome to attend. In addition, visitors will be able to book a free, 30-minute, guided ‘Trend Briefing’ at the show. Led by Laura Greenwood of specialist interior design trend forecasters Scarlet Opus, each session will give a quick overview of which key global consumer and design trends will affect the flooring market the coming months and in 2019. The show has two Demo Zones hosted by the Flooring Industry Training Association (FITA), supported by the Carpet Fitters Association (CFA) and National Institute of Carpet and Floorlayers (NICF).
