Flooring in the spotlight

The flooring industry’s main annual event takes place soon – 16-18 September – in Harrogate.

This is where flooring in all its forms is given the starring role.  The show is widely recognised as the UK’s National Flooring Event, and this year marks its 56th edition.  The show delivers a great overview of what’s new, who’s new and some great networking opportunities across the industry – from contractors and fitters, to flooring retailers and interior designers.

Show highlights this year include:

Over 250 brands and over 50 new exhibitors keen to do business…

With this many brands and exhibitors under one roof, all keen to do business and covering every type of flooring, flooring products and tools, a visit is worthwhile investment of time for anyone in the industry.  Click here to see the full A-Z exhibitor listing. “The show always plays host to some major new product launches from key UK and European suppliers and meeting the people behind the brands and understanding the products makes specifying so much easier – it means you can be confident in your choices when it really matters,” says event manager Kane Thomas of Ocean Media Group, which bought the show last year.

New exhibitor names this year include Akarsu Rugs, All Victory Grass, Barth1873, Bautech, Blindshapers, Brit Adhesives, Dri-Tac Flooring Products, EverJade Group, Fair Packaging,

Fatra, Filpa Packaging, Haima Group, Home Creations International, Ikoustic, IQ Mouldings, Kellars, Laifuer UK, Leading Edge Supplies, Lohmann, Macro Carpets, Oneflor Europe,

Pinnacle Carpets, PRO-TEK™ WPC Flooring, Ribadao Design, Snickers Workwear, Staingard, Texfelt, Tugra Rugs, Westex, Western Pennine Storage and William Armes.

Leading brand names include Abingdon Flooring, Adams Carpets, Ball & Young, Brockway Carpets, Cavalier Carpets, Cormar Carpets, Egger, F Ball, Furlong Flooring, Heatseam, Interfloor, Karndean, Lano, Victoria Carpets, Whitestone Weavers and many more.

NEW this year!  Spot the trends….

On Tuesday morning, 18 September, the show will be hosting a special networking event for interior designers to meet the flooring designers from key exhibiting companies.  It’s a perfect opportunity to hear what new flooring developments are underway from the teams who are creating them.  This event is supported by the SBID, but non-members are welcome to attend.  If you are interested in attending this event, please contact vanessa@theflooringshow.com or call 01666 824624.

In addition, visitors will be able to book a free, 30-minute, guided ‘Trend Briefing’ at the show.  Led by Laura Greenwood of specialist interior design trend forecasters Scarlet Opus, each session will give a quick overview of which key global consumer and design trends will affect the flooring market the coming months and in 2019.  For more information visit the What’s On section of the show website.
